Tyne Cycle's staff...

Brian Shields

Brian, the owner of the shop like nothing more than topping up his tan in the USA. Unfortunatly that doesn't happen as often as he would like so you will usually find him in the shop with a cup of coffee in hand (He has also ben known to make customers the occasional cup if they are spending enough).

Brian's Claud Butler Stone River is the shop work horse, it boasts a dependable Shimano Deore Drivetrain, Hope Mono Mini's, Handbuilt Mavic 717 rims on Hope ProII hubs and a nice pair of BBB Carbon Bars.

Chris Green

After spending 7 years at a number of colleges across the North East studying for various degrees in Computer Science, Chris found he no longer wanted to work in the IT industry and wanted a job in a completly different field. Chris started working at Tyne Cycles in July of 2005 and has gone from being a Spanner Monkey to our head sales person. Chris is also the person responsible for the creation and maintenance of this site.

Chris rides a 2007 Giant STP Zero frame, kitted out with Rock Shox Argyle 318's, Hope Mono M4's, NC-17 Bars, Stem and Magmesium Pedals and a Tan Charge Stool Seat. The next addition will be a nice White Da Bomb, Da Rim wheelset.

Jack Bratchvogel

Jack or Peanuts as he is known is the Saturday boy here at Tyne Cycles. When not in the shop Jack is either at college studying for his degree in Aerospace Engineering or out throwing himself off drops usually in excess of 20ft. Jack is also known locally as a bit of a dab hand at Dirt Jumping and is the man to talk to about all thing Suspension related.

Jack's Brian Lopes signature Dirt Jump frame is fitted with a pair of Marzocchi Dirt Jumpers, Shimano Drivetrain and Rear disc.
